Harbor Surveillance

Kebo, Japan, 2008
80 percent of world trade is transported by sea. Protecting port operations
is one of the most critical challenges to the local authorities. The ISPS
(International Ship and Port Facility Security) code has established new
preventive measures for security. Maritime ports demand the latest in
security camera technology in order to maintain a high level of visual
security. A client in Kebo, Japan, installed an IP surveillance system
spreading out the harbor. Korenix’s outdoor PoE switches are used to
power cameras in the humid, salty environments at the harbor.
